Wiltshire Creative is rooted in, and draws inspiration from, the city of Salisbury and works beyond its boundaries and draws audiences from across the county and further afield. The creation of new work is at the heart of its programme, as it builds new relationships with audiences, artists and participants.
Wiltshire Council’s Arts service aims to help and encourage everybody in the community to have equal access to a range of high quality arts opportunities, either as participants or audiences. We work in partnership with other organisations to make sure the arts opportunities on offer reflect the needs of the local community. The arts service hosts its own blog ‘The Arts In Wiltshire’. As well as being a creative space, the blog is a place for those working in arts and culture to keep up to date with jobs, opportunities, funding, resources and training.
The staff at Castle Cameras go to work each day to make photography fun. That means being realistic about what we can achieve each day, being professional, checking that our prices are competitive and keeping our stock, displays and equipment up to date. Whether you're new to photography or an old hand, Jim, Matt and Sammie will welcome you to their shop for chat and/or to look at new and second hand equipment and will be more than happy to help in anyway with all things technical!
MAULS WINE BAR
We are an independent, boutique, family run bar. We set Maul’s up after getting inspiration from the cheese board and delicious Montepulciano wine we enjoyed on our first date. From there our love affair with wine and cheese grew, and the rest as they say, is history. We only stock what we love, good quality local and international wine, cheese and cured meats and pâtés along with some delicious chutneys and pickles. Life’s most decadent and delicious pleasures… come in an enjoy!
CHRIS LOCK PHOTOGRAPHY
Living in the Nadder Valley in Wiltshire, the ever-changing colours and moods of the Wiltshire and Dorset landscape are a constant source of inspiration for local landscape photographer Chris Lock. The enjoyment gained from taking photographs, from trying to capture the light and colours at their best, is matched by the experience of simply being outdoors, wandering over the hills and through woodlands, ever thankful for the privilege of living in this beautiful part of the world. Chris is well known for his landscape images of the Wiltshire scenery and for his annual calendar supporting the local charity, Hope & Homes for Children.
