I offer bespoke 1-1 TUITION and TRAINING COURSES for small groups of three for those keen to learn the amazing skill of photography. If you are new and wanting to know what all the buttons, dials and numbers are for, or looking to expand your photography knowledge, please read on and get in touch with any questions you may have.
As well as more formal tuition, I offer Photo Days which are a great way to practice your skills, mix with fellow photographers, try out different styles of photography and sort out any issues you may be having.
Having someone on hand to guide you as you learn a new skill is the best way. Time is take to explain how best to shoot different subjects and the importance of seeing what we are looking at in terms of light and how best to set the exposure. How best to compose various images is included and will greatly improve your ability to capture your images successfully.
As with all my training programme, Photo Days will return once we can meet again face to face.
If you have a love for photography and would like to take it further, I would welcome the opportunity to help you continue with your learning and enjoyment of your photography.

BASICS OF PHOTOGRAPHY
Before you can start to understand the basics of photography, finding your way around your camera in essential. Therefore, we starts with an introduction to/reminder of your camera and lenses, along with basic set up and handing before the technical theory and practice begins.
All training will explain/remind how your camera's buttons and dials work and the technical theory of photography. With this knowledge you will be able to say goodbye to the automatic settings forever and take control of how your images are created!

Only by analysing our photography can we continue to improve and know which steps we need to take to move forward. And there is much to consider when analysing our work.
This one hour online review is for all levels. Whether a beginner or more advanced, understanding what makes good image and how to capture a well exposed image will open up this amazing subject and all it's possibilities.
Taking time to establish where you are now with your photography will ensue you start learning at the right level and enable you to move forward with confidence.

BACK TO BASICS
Have you recently completed a beginner's photography course but then couldn't find the time to practice your new found skills?
This practical workshop will re-engage you with your camera using five easy steps covering all the basics of photography listed above.
By the end of your tuition you will be back in control of your camera and ready to re-explore it's capabilities.
We will look at camera settings and controls, the creative modes and exposures, light conditions, overrides and composition options.

All workshop are suitable for both DSLS and mirrorless cameras.
PHOTO SHOOT DAYS
These practical days are perfect for meeting up with fellow photographers, swapping experiences and picking up tips, getting individual help with the technical side of your photography and practicing new techniques.
There is no formal agenda, just some enjoyable time out with your camera and new found photography friends.
We will find a local pub for refreshments for those who have time to stay for extra photography natter!
Photo Shoot Days are held on the third weekend of the month, weather permitting, in perfect locations to suit the time of year.

Your tuition can be a starting point or build on your knowledge, camera skills and creativity. This option is perfect for those who prefer to individual tuition and will allow you to learn at your own pace.
Whether your new to photography, looking to refresh our knowledge and skills or advance to the next level in a particular area of photography your tuition will be tailored to start at your present knowledge and ability.
The amount of hours required will be discussed and agreed beforehand organised to best suit you and your other commitments.
Handouts are provided to refer back to and practical tasks will be set to keep you practicing. Discussions and reviews to check understanding will form part of each session to ensure you only move forward when ready to.

BEGINNERS - 6 WEEK COURSE
This practical hands-on course will get you operating your camera while learning what makes a great image and the basics of photography. The perfect start for all new photographers!
The course provides a solid foundation into digital photography to demystify the art of photography.
You will learn all the basics of photography as listed above, which will all be practiced throughout the course. You will learn how to apply these techniques when shooting in the different creative modes. Understanding light and to how to compose images for a variety of results will be included.
The course is suitable for both DSLR and mirrorless cameras and practical tasks are included to keep you practicing your new found skills.

EDITING & POST PRODUCTION - 4 WEEK COURSE
Post-production of images is an important part of photography.
Editing, adjusting and enhancing images is a skill ok its own and will help develop your creativity at every stage of photography. This course will give you confidence to use photography software programmes.
The course will demonstrate how to set up a post-production workflow, edit images and how to use various tools and techniques to produce stunning images.
Most digital photographs will benefit from some enhancements to reveal their full potential and the process will allow you to develop your own style of photography.
This is a classroom based course using ADOBE PHOTOSHOP CC.
Clients will need to bring their own laptop to work on during each session.
