The Lockdown Diaries series of mosaics is a record of aspects of lockdown that have become an unexpected but essential part of everyday life. We have all had to learn how to pull together whilst remaining apart, united in our attempt to keep each other safe.

Basalt demonstrates two basic and contrasting components, hot and cold. Representing when molten lava meets the ocean causing nature to create furthermore. Basalt is here to remind us how opposites resinate with each other more than we think and can work as a harmonious unity.
